BRO

What is this contraption?? Could it be??? Is this....... a BRO???

In honor of my broken husband I bring to you, the definition of the BRO. He is a Seinfeld fan and I thought that this episode fit into nicely with this contraption.

This is called a Figure of 8. It is currently holding his Clavical back together seeing that it is broken in...not 1, not 2 or even 3 places, but FOUR!

Stay tuned and I will share the entire story with you as well as my pictures that I took. (yes, I took pictures.) Kind of becoming humorous now that the scary part is over.

My 7 Facts

I have a sneaking suspicion that this is Jenny's way to get me to update! :) My friend, Jenny, has tagged me in her blog about giving 7 facts about myself. She was tagged from another friend for the same thing! So not to be a party pooper, I am going to share my 7 facts!

1. I HATE social situations!! It makes me a nervous wreck. I am always worried that I will same the wrong thing or that others will think that I am weird. I typically will not talk to someone first because I am not sure how to start a conversation, so instead I will end up sitting by myself, looking like a dork because I am not sure what to do. I know Wyatt gets frustrated with me since he is Mr. Social.

2. I love to bake, but do not like to bake cookies. I don't mind mix the dough but after that I get bored. I usually end up with a bowl of cookie dough in the fridge!

3. My hobby is trying to figure out what my hobby is. I have dabbled in a little photography, scrapbooking, guitar playing, crochet, knitting, sewing, quilting and the list keeps going. I am not sure which one I like, because I want to be perfect at it right off the bat.

4. I am PETRIFIED of storms. I try very hard to put on my brave face because I don't want Wyatt to think I am a wimp, but I really am! I won't watch the weather for fear it will mention a tornado. I had a great grandmother that would head to the basement immediately with the first sound of thunder. I might mention that as I am typing this, it is thundering. What to do, what to do!!! :)

5. I am SCARED to DEATH of snakes!!!!! I might mention that I am scared of anything that might even resemble a snake! I get nervous working outside because I might see one. I am afraid to fish, because on the movie Funny Farm, Chevy Chase caught a big black one on his line. Wyatt gets a kick out of taking me through a field because he thinks it is funny when I stomp my feet to scare them away! A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!

6. I have a secret love for 80's teenage movies!! I favor the ones with Molly Ringwald, but will watch any of them!

7. I do not and cannot text using the abbreviations. I would much rather type out the entire word. I also have a very hard time reading the abbreviations. Good thing I have internet on my phone so that I can look up the meanings!!

These are a few facts about me! Apparently I get to pick someone else to give their facts. Who to choose!!!!

Drum roll please!!

I am still here!

I am still around! My priorities had been adjusted just a tad so that I could get through my last few weeks of school. It has been a bitter sweet ending to the school year. I will be leaving my comfort zone at Central Elementary as a Special Education teacher and heading a few blocks west to teach first grade at Colorado Elementary. I am sad to think that I will not be working with those that became my friends, but I am super excited to make new friends. In the meantime, I have been frantically boxing up my stuff. I was silly to think that I did not really have that much! WOW was I SHOCKED by how much I have accumulated!!! Think goodness for Randel and Sandy volunteering (not really, I am just a good sweet talked!) into moving my stuff for me. Something tells me that I am going to owe them BIG!!! Do you think they will take an IOU?

This is where I started in August.

This is now what my room looks like. At little bland don't you think?

Swagger Wagon Wannabe

Wyatt and I took the plunge last weekend and bought a minivan. I have officially entered the soccer mom world! While proudly showing off my new wheels to a friend, she told me it made her think of the Swagger Wagon. I had to find the video that she was telling me about and thought that I would share it with you! We bought a Honda and the video is a Sienna which makes us the wannabes!!!
Now, I know some of my friends get a kick out of the fact that I surrendered to the minivan, I want to point out that I LOVE my new car!! I am pretty sure it is the best vehicle I have ever had! Enjoy the video and I am going to go and stare at my new car/van!!!

Kitchen Work

It has been very busy the last few weeks. We have had soccer and school and my technology class that I have been taking. I did manage to squeeze in a little kitchen cleaning. I have not kept up the clean once a week thing, but hopefully I will start again soon!

I have a couple of cabinets that seem to collect EVERYTHING! I decided that I needed to get them organized and cleaned out.

Before

I CANNOT believe all of this came out of ONE cabinet!! I have some serious packrat issues!!!

New Cow

This is just to cute to share...at least for me.

I picked up Haden from preschool a couple of weeks ago. We were talking about his day and we got on the subject of milk. He now has the option between white, chocolate and strawberry milk. I asked him what he picks and he told me he really only likes chocolate milk. He thinks that my strawberry milk is much better. I asked him why he never gets white milk, because he drinks it like crazy at home. He responded with the typical "I just don't like it at school." We were quiet for a bit and then he pipes back up with how he likes his milk to come from a cow...

I explain to him that the milk does come from a cow just like at home. He then tells me that no, the kitchen makes it at school because that is where he gets it from....

(he has a good talent about making himself sound like he has it all figured out)

I then explain to him that it does come from a cow. Again, he says that it does come from the kitchen. (which it does)

I have realized at this point he has it in his head that I am wrong, so I am not going to win this conversation. He gets quiet again and I assume the conversation is done and then he tells me....

"Mom, I think that the school just needs to get a new cow because the one that they have is very bad." Apparently he thinks that they must keep a cow at school and milk it in the morning!!!

All in the eyes of a five year old!!!!
